Angelo Riva earned his PhD from the University of Genoa (business administration) and the University of Orléans (economics) in 2005 (joint supervision). He is qualified by the French National Council of the Universities to teach business administration, economics and contemporary history. He is currently private professor of finance at the European Business School – Paris, where is Dean of Research, and affiliate professor of economics at the Paris School of Economics. He taught at the University of Genoa, University of Orléans, University of Milan, Sciences-Po Paris, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and Paris School of Economics.   Angelo is the principal investigator of the H2020 project EURHISFIRM and of the project “Systemic Risk in the 1930s” funded by the French National Agency of Research. He is also WP leader in the project “Exploration of Historical Big Data”, funded by the French National Agency of Research. He is member of the Steering committee of Eurofidai (UPS – CNRS) and invited member of the Scientific Committee of the IRIS (Initiative de Recherche Stratégique Interdisciplinaire) “Governance Analytics” of the PSL University (Paris Sciences et Lettres). His research interests focuses on monetary history, financial history, and digital social sciences.
